In Person Agreement

Agreement for Cottontail Kids Music Together® In-Person Classes:

We recognize that all parents have concerns about the safety of their children participate in group events.  We are following the recommendations of the CDC and NAEYC in these matters to maximize safety. We understand that implementation may at times fall short of our expectations – that it can be particularly difficult at times in handling youth – but, are dedicated to “best practices” in taking measures to assure safety for our participants.  Also, voluntary disclosure- Teacher Stephanie and any possible subbing teachers are fully vaccinated. <3

Your attendance in this class means that you will agree to the following:

1. Each family maintains a minimum social distance of 6 feet when interacting with others (outside their family group) during class and when you are in the general class area. It is the responsibility of the adult participant to maintain social distancing requirements as kids will naturally want to move around. Please be aware of this guideline and help us to maintain it.

2. Because we each hold different feelings about distancing, always assume a family wants to maintain distance unless you have communicated with them and your teacher about closer contact.

3. Class size will be limited depending on location and spacing. Please notify the office for unapproved guests or unregistered siblings to class.

4. It is more important than ever to observe our rules for sick children/adults.  Here are some guidelines to help you make the right decision:

If you or your child shows ANY signs of illness, stay at home (a few of those signs may include: frequent coughing or coughing spells, repeated sneezing, runny nose, fever over 99.5, headache, stomach issues, fatigue or acting sick).

If you or your child live with someone (or has been in close contact with someone) who currently has COVID, please stay home and notify your teacher immediately.

If you have been diagnosed with (or believe you have) COVID, please notify your teacher immediately. You may return to classes after the suggested quarantine, 10 days from the onset, and when you have had no symptoms or fever (without taking fever-reducing meds) for at least 24 hours.

5. If you or anyone in your household is diagnosed with COVID or you believe your symptoms are consistent with COVID, please let us know immediately so we can communicate this with our families and take appropriate steps as needed. You will remain anonymous, but this will be helpful in preventing any spread of the illness throughout our classes and families.

6.  Similarly, if a teacher is diagnosed with COVID, families will be notified immediately, and appropriate steps taken to ensure safety of all participants.

7. Face masks are required for some classes for participation in our in-person classes for adults and children (3 years and up). We will maintain proper distancing and provide sanitizer and instrument cleaner as preventative measures for lessening spread.

8. Hand sanitizer will be available at all in-person classes. We recommend that every family bring their own hand sanitizer as well. We ask all participant to either wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before and after class.

9. We will provide mats to sit on, however, families can opt to bring their own blankets for extra cleanliness if desired.

10. Families may bring their own instruments to class every week or choose to rent a bag of instruments for $5 for the entire semester. Rented bags will include a scarf, egg shakers, rhythm sticks, bells, and a drum for each person attending.  Bags will remain at the location of class, and it will be the family's responsibility to clean their own instruments at the end of class with spray or wipes (provided).  Instruments will be returned at the end of each semester for washing and cleaning.

11. If at any point in the In-Person Class Term, Cottontail Kids Music Together® feels it is unwise or unsafe to continue In-Person classes, they have the discretion to move classes to an online format.   If this option does not work for your family, we will be happy to issue a credit towards upcoming In-Person classes (refunds will not be available).

12. Please give grace. Our return to In-Person classes is a new adventure for everyone! Since we will not be in a controlled environment, a lot of things can interrupt the “perfect” class. Asking a young child to socially distance and stay in a specific area might be a bit challenging; we can all gently work together on this. Please keep this in mind as you attend classes this session. We are doing everything we can to be together while still following appropriate COVID guidelines and being responsible members of our community.

13. Cottontail Kids Music Together has set up safety requirements that match or exceed the national and local standards; I choose to attend and take full responsibility for me and my family’s health and safety.

14. Cottontail Kids Music Together reserves the right to cancel a class and issue a full refund if there are not enough registered families (4 or less) before the semester begins.  Cottontail Kids Music Together may attempt to "run" the class on week 1 with demoes to attempt to fill the class enough and will notify all registered families beforehand if this is the case.

14. HAVE FUN! This is required. What a wonderful chance to have fun: let’s laugh, sing, dance, stomp, tickle, giggle, twirl, drum, snuggle and enjoy making Music Together - in person- again!

Families, please consider your level of comfort in returning to in-person classes and understand that we will be doing our very best to minimize any spread of virus, however there is always a slight risk.  We are looking forward to seeing your faces and making beautiful music . . . . Together!
